General description
Myelin transcription factor 1-like (Myt1L) is a zinc finger protein belonging to the myelin transcription factor 1 family. It influences the expression of genes involved in the proliferation and differentiation of oligodentrocytes in the developing central nervous system. Myt1L may contribute to the silencing of its target genes by recruiting Sin3B that binds to and enhances the activity of HDAC. Several studies have implicated Myt1L in the pathogenesis of complex psychiatric diseases such as schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder.
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human MyT1L.
